The Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission ("GSC") is currently conducting a public consultation on a wide-ranging package of proposed legislative reforms. The consultation period closes on 13 August 2025.
The proposed changes apply to:
Gambling (Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism) Act 2018
Gambling Supervision Act 2010
Online Gambling Regulation Act 2001
Casino Act 1986
Gaming, Betting and Lotteries Act 1988
The Gaming (Amendment) Act 1984
While many of the proposals appear well-developed, there is still value in reviewing the reforms, understanding their potential implications, and submitting any comments or concerns. Regulatory clarity and industry engagement remain important, particularly for those preparing to adapt to future changes.
For operators, suppliers, and stakeholders, this is still a valuable opportunity to:
Understand what’s changing
Anticipate new compliance expectations
Ask questions or raise practical concerns
Document feedback for future reference or advocacy
