Lee Hills, Fintech Mentor of the Year

Isle of Man, May 29th, 2024 – SolutionsHub Founder & CEO, Lee Hills has been selected as the Fintech Mentor of the Year at the 2024 Fintech Frontiers Awards. The award recognises Lee’s outstanding leadership, innovation, and contributions to the fintech sector.

The 2024 Fintech Frontiers Awards celebrate excellence and focus on impactful work performed by individuals and organisations both domestically and internationally, highlighting the strategic significance and complexity of their accomplishments.

The Fintech Mentor of the Year Award recognises Lee’s work with SolutionsHub in applying an innovative approach to partnerships and fostering key relationships which has led to groundbreaking achievements in licensing, regulatory approvals, and industry firsts.

Among the industry firsts delivered by SolutionsHub were the world’s first blockchain gambling licence, the Isle of Man’s first hard-capped ICO, and decentralised sportsbook. That long history of innovation also includes designing and implementing the world’s first crypto player protection solution.

In their written summary recognising the achievement, the Fintech Frontiers Awards Team said “Lee's dedication to sharing knowledge and expertise has not only benefited SolutionsHub but has also contributed to the growth of the Manx economy and attracted new businesses to the Isle of Man.”

Recognised as a leading authority in licensing and maintaining egaming and fintech businesses in the Isle of Man, SolutionsHub have worked with a number of Corporate Service Providers to support their entry and growth in these sectors. Speaking about this collaborative approach, Lee Hills said “some might see this as aiding our competitors, but for us it’s important to foster relationships locally. Our view is that it’s mutually beneficial, both for businesses locally and for the Isle of Man as a whole.”

Lee’s involvement as a board member for Digital Isle of Man, the Executive Agency within Isle of Man Government’s Department for Enterprise created to support the digitial sector, led him to being a mentor for one of the winning finalists in last year’s inaugural Fintech Innovation Challenge. Following their success under Lee’s mentorship in that programme, Crucial Compliance announced a strategic expansion into the Isle of Man.
