Nick Bowden

Nick is a former Inspector at the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission (“GSC”), where he was responsible for processing licence applications, conducting compliance audits, general supervision and contributing to policy development. His tenure at the GSC provided him with invaluable insights into regulatory expectations and enforcement practices, which he now leverages to support clients in achieving and maintaining compliance.

As Head of Regulatory Affairs, Nick plays a critical role in guiding clients through the complexities of the Isle of Man's online gambling regulatory environment and other global frameworks, ensuring they meet the highest standards of integrity and operational excellence.

Nick's earlier career includes over a decade in compliance and business management roles within the Isle of Man's contracting sector, culminating in his position as New Business and Compliance Manager overseeing a team across multiple offices. He also held a managerial role within the Isle of Man Government's Income Tax Division, further broadening his expertise in regulatory affairs.

Committed to continuous professional development, Nick has earned the International Compliance Association (“ICA”) Specialist Certificate in Money Laundering Risk in Betting and Gaming and, in 2023, completed the ICA International Diploma in Anti-Money Laundering with merit.

Nick is instrumental in developing regulatory strategies, advising on compliance matters, and liaising with regulatory bodies. His deep understanding of both the regulatory landscape and the operational challenges faced by gambling operators makes him a trusted advisor to clients.

Nick leads the strategic development and coordination of all stakeholder responses to consultations issued by the GSC, including proposed legislative amendments, updates to the Gambling (Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism) Code, and revisions to policy and industry guidance. His work ensures that SolutionsHub’s clients and partners have a strong voice in shaping a pragmatic and effective regulation.
