David Lyons

David is a Dublin-based gaming executive with three decades of experience across online gaming, financial services and corporate governance. As Non-Executive Director, he supports the continued development of SolutionsHub’s Irish business as operators, suppliers and investors prepare for the country’s new gambling regulatory framework.

David has held senior leadership positions with some of the industry’s most recognised businesses during a career spanning Ireland, Malta, the Isle of Man and Australia. His experience covers commercial and operational leadership, payments, product development, player engagement, risk and corporate governance.

He spent eight years with PokerStars on the Isle of Man, holding several senior positions including Associate Director of Poker Engagement. His responsibilities included payments, product and player engagement during a significant period of international growth for the business.

David later joined Luckbox as Director of Player Engagement and partypoker as Associate Director of Player Engagement. He subsequently joined Virtual Gaming Worlds, where he became General Manager of Global Poker before extending his responsibilities to include the Chumba Casino and LuckyLand Casino brands.

Alongside his online gaming career, David spent more than 16 years in financial services with Bank of Ireland and Standard Life, working across technology, risk and operations. This combination of financial services and gaming experience gives him a practical understanding of the commercial, operational and regulatory considerations facing businesses entering or expanding within regulated markets.

At SolutionsHub, David provides strategic insight into the development of the company’s Irish operations. His experience working within international gaming businesses strengthens the support SolutionsHub can provide to companies considering licensing, governance structures and operational readiness under Ireland’s developing regulatory framework.

David is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin. He is also a Board Member of the Asthma Society of Ireland and VGW Games Limited, bringing further governance and board-level experience to his role with SolutionsHub.
