Nicola McKinley is the newest member of the SolutionsHub team, joining us as Compliance Executive. Here’s a little more from Nicola about herself…
What are you looking forward to in your new role with SolutionsHub?
What attracted me to the role was the opportunity to work in such a fast-paced and interesting industry, and I am definitely looking forward to the chance to progress my career and my knowledge by completing some professional compliance qualifications.
Can you tell us about your career so far?
I attended St Ninian’s High School, where I completed my GCSEs and A-Levels.
After leaving school, I started at SHH Operations as an On-Boarding Executive. This involved obtaining all the relevant KYC Documents and completing any necessary checks on them.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time working there and I am very excited to progress my career further with SolutionsHub.
Can you tell us a bit about your home life?
I currently live at home with my mum and older sister in Onchan. We also have 3 dogs named Molly (Miniature Schnauzer), Alfie (Collie cross Yorkshire Terrier) and Indy (Springer Spaniel).
Away from work, what do you like to do?
Away from work, I have trained and competed (both on and off Island) in dog agility, and have moved from Grade 1 to Grade 7 with my dog, Alfie. I would love to eventually progress to Championship Level, hopefully, once the COVID pandemic has settled down and I can travel to and from the UK to compete more regularly.
I also enjoy getting stuck into a good book, and often go to the gym and fitness classes in the evenings.
Can you tell us something about you that not many people know?
As well as my professional qualifications, I am currently working towards gaining an Online Diploma in Canine Behaviour and Coaching.
